Smoke Detectors are your family's first line of defense in the event of a fire! Be prepared and ensure that they're working at all times. Smoke detectors account for saving hundreds of lives each year.
DID YOU KNOW:
In 1975, due to a code change, hard-wired (electric) smoke detectors were required in lieu of battery operated smoke detectors. One positive impact to this change was the elimination of human error caused by neglecting to change the batteries. One negative impact resulting from this change was the likelihood that your smoke detectors will not operate in the event of a power interruption. Therefore, we strongly encourage replacing hard-wired only type smoke detectors with combination hard-wired with battery backup types. In the event of a power interruption to your home, hard-wired only detectors will not operate. Please feel free to contact our offices at 856-234-6053 if you have any questions or concerns.
